This firm was founded around a single conviction: the organizations that move fastest are the ones who understand their systems deeply enough to redesign them. That requires equal parts strategic clarity, technical fluency, and the historian's discipline of reading what is actually there — not what the documentation claims.

Our practice sits at the intersection of executive strategy, software engineering, and data systems architecture — a combination rare enough that most organizations have never encountered it in a single engagement. We design and build operational infrastructure, interactive data platforms, and technical systems from the ground up. We also hold the room at the executive level, navigate institutional complexity, and deliver written strategic assessments that are direct enough to act on immediately.

The technical range is specific: production SaaS development, full-stack document management systems, geospatial data modeling, federal executive reporting platforms, VC portfolio analytics dashboards, museum-grade archival records infrastructure, and a decade of interactive data systems work across sectors. We build things that exist in the world and run in production — not decks that describe what could be built.

We take on two or three clients at a time. The problems we work on — whether designing something new, rebuilding something that has outgrown itself, or clearing the path for something stalled — require full attention and cannot be staffed to a team that wasn't in the room.

We approach systems the way a surveyor approaches terrain — methodically, from primary sources, building the most accurate map before committing to the route.

What We Do

We design, build, and — when necessary — recover. Every engagement is scoped around a specific outcome. These are the areas where our track record is deepest.

01

Systems Design & Innovation

38°54′N · 77°02′W · Primary

We design the operational, technical, and strategic architecture organizations need to move at the speed their ambitions require — whether building from a blank page or redesigning what exists.

02

Data Systems & Dashboard Architecture

40°26′N · 79°58′W · Intelligence

Ten years designing interactive data systems — from federal executive reporting platforms to VC portfolio analytics to geospatial models. We build dashboards that actually change how organizations make decisions.

03

Strategic Assessment

39°57′N · 75°10′W · Diagnostic

A structured analysis of where an organization is and what the path to the intended outcome looks like. Delivered as a written assessment with a sequenced action roadmap — not a deck of observations.

04

Initiative Execution

51°54′N · 8°28′W · Embedded

Embedded executive leadership on critical initiatives — driving delivery at the level where decisions get made. We move at the speed required, report without noise, and exit with systems that outlast the engagement.

Data & Dashboards

A decade of
systems that
drive decisions.

The best data systems share the same lineage as the best cartographic surveys — they make complex, multidimensional information legible and actionable at a glance. We have been building them for a decade, from federal executive reporting platforms to interactive geospatial models to portfolio analytics dashboards.

Below is a live example of the kind of interactive intelligence layer we build into every engagement.

Strategy · Innovation

We build what the
organization needs next.

The most valuable thing we bring is not a methodology — it is the ability to see clearly what a system should be, and to build toward that vision with strategic precision and hands-on technical execution.

We have shipped production software, designed operational infrastructure at the federal executive level, and built data platforms from the ground up. That range is what makes our recommendations credible — and actionable.

Primary source analysis
Method · Precision

We map the terrain
before committing to the route.

Our background in historical cartography and archival analysis is the methodology. A surveyor takes precise measurements, reconciles conflicting records, and produces a map that can be trusted. We apply that same discipline — assumption-free, primary-source — to every engagement.

It is what allows us to move fast without moving wrong.

How We Engage

Four steps.
No ambiguity.

1

The Conversation

Direct. No deck required. Hard questions about the problem, honest assessment of fit, and a clear read on what a scoped engagement would look like.

2

The Diagnostic

Two to three weeks of structured analysis looking for structural causes, not surface symptoms. Output is a written assessment — not a slide deck.

3

The Engagement

Scoped work against a defined outcome. Embedded at the decision level, moving at the speed the situation demands, without adding organizational noise.

4

The Exit

We leave with systems that don't require us to maintain them. A clean exit is a deliverable — not an afterthought. You should not need us indefinitely.

Who We Work With

A short list.
By design.

PE

Private Equity

Portfolio companies that need to move faster, operate smarter, or unlock value that existing infrastructure is blocking.

HC

Healthcare

Operators navigating regulatory complexity, M&A integration, or compliance infrastructure that needs to scale.

VC

Venture-Backed

Founders who have outgrown their operational infrastructure and need it rebuilt without breaking momentum.

GOV

Government-Adjacent

Federal contractors and public-private operators. Our deepest track record and most specific expertise.
